About Dibeklihan Culture and Art Village:

Established in 2008 by architect Gülay Altay Tezer and petroleum engineer Cenap Tezer, Dibeklihan Culture and Art Village is Turkey’s first and only Culture and Art Village. Designed by Gülay Altay Tezer, the village features an Ethnography Museum, art galleries, handicraft shops, and workshops for ceramics, jewelry, drama, and music, all open year-round. During the winter months, visitors can enjoy the warm atmosphere of Café Nare Cafeteria, while in the summer, Pera Thai Bodrum and Maya Indian Restaurants offer delightful culinary experiences.

Each year, from May to November, the village hosts approximately 30 exhibitions across various art disciplines in both indoor and outdoor spaces. Notably, each art season is dedicated to a distinguished artist who has left a significant mark on Turkish culture. The 2025 Art Season has been declared the Genco Erkal Culture and Art Season.

Throughout the summer, Dibeklihan’s Orhan Kemal Square becomes a vibrant hub for music festivals, talks, book signings, commemorative nights, theater performances, art workshops, free open-air cinema nights, and fashion shows. Additionally, the village proudly hosts key concerts of the Bodrum Jazz Festival, one of the peninsula’s most esteemed events. Complementing these cultural activities, Pera Thai Bodrum and Maya Indian Restaurants continue to offer jazz concerts and music festivals during the summer months.

The architectural design of Dibeklihan, enriched with antique artifacts and objects, reflects a deep respect for culture, regional architecture, and nature. The founders, Cenap Tezer and Gülay Altay Tezer, envisioned this unique space as a meeting point for those who appreciate the beauty produced by people both past and present. By bringing together artists, intellectuals, and art enthusiasts in Bodrum, they have realized their dream.
